DESCRIPTION
Turmeric is a spice commonly used in South Asian cuisine which has a number of bioactive compounds including curcumin, for which it is most well-known. Curcumin has been found to offer a number of benefits when supplemented including providing benefits to mood, joint health, immune system health, digestion, and cardiovascular health.
Curcumin has poor bioavailability when taken by itself and is commonly formulated with other supplements to improve its absorption. Ginger and Black Pepper Extract are the two most commonly used ingredients for this purpose, and we’ve used Ginger in our Turmeric Gummy supplement to both improve absorption and to provide a great tasting product.
USING TUMERIC + GINGER GUMMIES
As a dietary supplement, take 2 gummies per day. Chew thoroughly before swallowing. Do not exceed more than 8 gummies in a 24-hour period.
SAFETY AND SIDE EFFECTS
Curcumin supplements are very safe and side effects are extremely rare at the recommended dosages. Side effects are more common at high doses, however, and reported side effects include headaches, nausea, digestive issues such as bloating or acid reflux, and rashes.
